Retirement —
The Next Chapter
Few pastors are ready for the day the calling stays but the position ends. Retirement raises hard and practical questions — what the finances will actually look like, where you will live, how to hand off well, and who you are on the first Monday when no one is expecting you. We want our workers thinking about that season years before it arrives, and not thinking about it alone.
We also gather to say thank you. Retirement luncheons bring retired workers and their spouses together for a meal, a message, and the fellowship of people who have walked the same road. Those who spent their lives caring for others should not be forgotten when the last Sunday is behind them.
Planning for Retirement
The questions come earlier than most of us expect, and they are rarely only financial. Where will we live. What will the calling look like when the position ends. How do I hand this church to someone else well. You do not have to work these out alone, and the best time to start is several years before you need the answers.

Retirement Luncheons
Once a year we set a table for those who have finished their years of ministry among us. Come for the meal, stay for the people who remember the same churches you do. Spouses are always welcome, and so are those who have lost one.
