Funding the work of these Alliance Missions Workers is no small task. It takes approximately $40,000 annually to keep an individual worker on the field. Through the generous and sacrificial giving of people like you, workers are sent to fulfill their calling from Jesus in all the earth. By giving to the work of the Great Commission Fund, you can help keep these workers on the field.

Missions Emphasis 2023-2024

The theme of the 2023–2024 Missions Emphasis campaign is To the Hard Places. The task of reaching the unreached is hard. But God remains faithful to open doors to those who have yet to experience His loving embrace.

The world’s remaining unreached peoples have disadvantaged access to the good news of Jesus. Over 4,000 distinct people groups lacking gospel access remain in locations from which 90 percent of their population will never migrate.

Within each society of these unreached groups are also pockets of people with specific needs. These groups are often overlooked, though not by our God.

The time is now. for gospel advance in the world’s hardest places.

Children’s Missions Project 2023-24 - Slices 4 School

This project is designed to educate children about the Great Commission and to focus on missions and help in the ministries of one of our WPA District International Workers. The project begins June 1, 2023 and runs through May 31, 2024. Please consider supporting this project.

The Roma are the largest marginalized minority in one Eastern European country. About 80% of Roma children in this country live below the poverty line. A monthly income for these families is around $113. This income often comes from selling clothes as a middleman, as well as gathering and reselling plastic bottles and metal. Young mothers and children also beg and steal in larger cities just to make ends meet. Most Roma girls marry around 15 or 16 years old, with some as young as 13. Most become young mothers who are not fully educated and thus the cycle of poverty continues. Many Roma children do not eat even one full meal each day. This leaves them malnourished and shorter in stature. We want to help these children be able to focus and stay in school by providing a sandwich each day for them. Please be in prayer for how you can help.

Resources are available to help you promote this project. Because this work takes place in a CAC, please do not post the brochure online. You will need your missions mobilizer password to access it. If you do not know your password, please contact Ruby by phone 814-938-6920 or email piszkerr@cmawpa.org. A video is also available upon request.

The program ends May 31, 2024. Give online here or mail checks to WPA District Of C&MA, 341 N Chestnut Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Make the check payable to WPA District of C&MA and designate that it is for “Slices 4 School”.

Missionary Wheels

Missionary Wheels provides our Western PA Alliance Missions Workers with a car when they are in the United States on home assignment.

Car ownership is difficult when it’s only for one year! So we provide a reliable vehicle at a low cost!

Alliance Missions Worker’s pay for auto insurance, gasoline and general maintenance. Missionary Wheels covers the cost of major repairs, tires, and replacing vehicles.
