Books, books and more books. There are a lot of books out there. The
challenge is finding what you need when you need it. Many local Christian book
stores don’t stock many missions books because they are not top sell items.
Publishers have found the same dilemma. And because mission related books are
not produced in large quantities, they are more expensive to print, and thus,
more expensive on the book store shelf.
How can you find a good missions book? Where are they? How can one know what
will really be useful? This chapter addresses the various kinds of books related
to missions. Since Americans are busy and quality conscious, the best ones will
be pointed out, as well as how to order them. The appendix will have more
complete information.

Educational supply stores for teachers
If you are an elementary teacher or if you home school you are probably
familiar with these stores in metropolitan areas around the United States. They
have everything an elementary teacher would need for educational ideas, bulletin
board supplies, and so on.
These stores often have some of the following :
bulletin boarders with globes or flags
flag stickers or world stickers
books in the geography section on crafts and games from around the world.
Be aware that secular craft books often have one or two crafts associated with
demonic powers, such as making an african mask or a Native American medicine
wheel. The book is valuable for other ideas, but be aware to avoid the crafts
with demonic background. If you’re not sure about a craft, ask a missionary.
