Course Syllabus

Purpose:      This course is designed to help you develop the following:

                     Character:  A passion for God with a mind that is being transformed by God’s

                     Word so that you: 

    1.    Can express the mind of Christ in thought, response and action.

    2.        Have a biblical worldview.

    3.    Integrate the word of God into everyday life. (C&C 1.3)

Goals:            By the time you complete this course you should:

                            1.    Be able to use the inductive steps to study any passage of Scripture.

                            2.    Understand and explain the message of the Gospel of Mark.

Method:         This course is a guided inductive study of the Gospel of Mark.

Resources:    The Bible (any version) 

                       Inductive Bible Study:  Mark    (study guide)

Student Requirements: 

1. Read the instructions carefully in the introduction of the Study Guide.
    

2. Complete the ten lessons on the Gospel of Mark, as directed by the Inductive Bible Study Guide.  

3. Write a one or two page summary of what you learned in this course.
    

4. Write an inductive Bible study of Acts 12:1-19, with the steps of observation, interpretation, and application to demonstrate your understanding of the inductive Bible study method.
