July/August 2010
On your mark, get set... - By Ethel Fennick, WPA District Director
The Christian and Missionary Alliance is on the Move! The Alliance Women Ministries is on the Move! As we transition from one theme to a new one, we need to continually "Pass the Salt;" to intentionally evangelize; to tell our neighbors and all those people we meet in everyday encounters about Jesus, as we are "On the Move."
The new theme "On the Move" will help us to become mature in Christ through the "Exercise" of spiritual disciplines such as worship, prayer and more. When you walk, you will not be hindered, when you run...read more (click on the picture).

ALLIANCE WOMEN MINISTRIES
The Alliance Women Ministries of the Western Pennsylvania District is an auxiliary ministry of The Christian and Missionary Alliance and exists to be a movement of Great Commission Christian Women who are glorifying God by building Christ's Church worldwide. All women attending a Christian and Missionary Alliance church are part of the Alliance Women Ministries.
Alliance Women Ministries have five main objectives:
-
FELLOWSHIP: To build healthy, caring relationships among women in the local church.
-
DISCIPLESHIP: To encourage study of God's Word, teaching women to follow Christ and to be built up in their faith.
-
OUTREACH: To equip women to share God's love and the message of the gospel with family, friends and neighbors.
-
MISSIONS: to involve women in the worldwide ministries of the Alliance through intercession, short-term missions, support of overseas workers and their families, and an annual project that serves specified needs in various countries.
-
TO PROMOTE CORPORATE AND INDIVIDUAL PRAYER FOR: Alliance overseas workers, the ministries of the local church, church planting in the United States, and prayer for individuals.
Women's Leadership Studies
Sponsored by Alliance Women Ministries
Growing in our personal walk with Jesus and being better equipped to serve Him in the local church is our desire. Alliance women across the country want to play a more active role in women's ministries but feel inadequate. Now we have the opportunity to receive the leadership training we need.
Leadership training classes will be offered regionally in the fall and spring of two consecutive years. They will be structured so that a student can begin at any unit but would be required to complete all the units in order to receive credit. Each unit will be offered on a single day with two three-hour sessions. Find out more...
