WPA Prayers
The Prayer Request List-server is a tool through which pastors may send prayer or praise requests to the District Family on their own. If you do not sign up for this list, you will not receive prayer requests from the District Family nor will you be able to send them.
When you have subscribed, you can begin using the list right away. Send any prayer requests you would like to share to the following email address: prayers@cmawpa.org. Everyone on the prayer list will receive your request. If you reply to a request, the sender will receive your reply.

Ten Commandments of Emailing Prayer Requests

Limit prayer requests to people with whom you have a close connection, eg. personal requests or requests of your immediate family. Never use the list-server to forward prayer requests about lost children in Manitoba.

Send prayer requests that are NEWS. While it is wonderful to get updates on prayer requests, please don't send reminders about prayer requests.

Please make your requests as specific as you are comfortable with. If the request is not for you personally, please don't reveal details that the subject of the request may not be comfortable with.

Please don't send attachments to the list-server.

To limit the volume of messages, please don't send touching stories, jokes, or poems to the list-server. This is a list of prayer requests and praises only.

Keep your anti-virus current so you are not sending viruses to the list.

Place your own name at the end of the request, so people can identify the sender.

In some cases, children may be receiving these emails for their parents or grandparents. Be mindful of them when you type your request.

When you have received a request from the list-server, if you can relate to it, take a moment to say so. Press reply and tell the person you will be praying.

If you are away from your computer and use an autoresponder to send an automatic reply, please remove yourself from the list until you return. Use this link to remove your name from the list: http://cmawpa.org/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi?f=list&l=prayers. Autoresponders can generate an endless loop which quickly jams the server.
